There is an unsatiable thirst for Islamic Knowledge among our adults, particularly among those who have become more settled and realize the importance of perfecting and amending one’s relationship with one’s Master and fellow creation.

However, the thought of goodness is sometimes overwhelmed by having this great trepidation of having to start the wheel of studying, taking the various mitigating factors of age, ability to retain, willingness to sacrifice. Then also the fear of having to sit among younger vibrant minds, the presence of a lecturer, bring home assignments and reinventing the wheel of memorisation.

Side lining these strange thoughts and allowing the overpowering thirst and desire of beneficial knowledge to overshadow, proves effective.

At Al Halaawah Academy we appreciate the initiative of our adult students and appreciate each student according to his or her ability and merit.

Since its inception in 2020, Al Halaawah Academy saw many students enrolled for the various discourses. The students not only commented on our informative and immensely beneficial lectures but commented on our lecturer’s approachable mannerism and an open-minded approach which resulted in a dramatic growth in the student’s spectrum of knowledge and change in their spiritual outlook.

Al Halaawah Academy’s seasonal approach in offering their discourses resulted in scores of students implementing and imbibing the sunnah in their day-to-day actions and lifestyle, whilst practicing on that which we have been ordained with and abstaining from those actions that we have been forewarned against.
